About Donna Veach

Donna Veach brings a grounded record of service, family, and conservative values to the State Capitol.

State Representative Donna Veach represents Connecticut's 30th General Assembly District, including Berlin and Southington. After a successful campaign in November 2020, she was sworn into office in January 2021, taking over a seat previously held by a former Democratic Speaker of the House. For the 2025-2026 legislative session, Donna continues her work as Ranking Member of the Internship Committee, serving alongside legislative interns from both caucuses. She also serves on the Environment, Finance, Revenue & Bonding, and Judiciary Committees, and is a voluntary member of the Conservative, Sportsmen's, Italian American, and Women's Caucuses. Born and raised in New Britain, Donna has lived in Berlin for more than 30 years with her husband, Jeff, a Berlin Police Officer. Their three daughters, Heather, Callie, and Audra, all became nurses, following in their grandmother's footsteps. Donna is also a proud grandmother. Donna was raised in a conservative Catholic family and has long supported limited government, the rule of law, free markets, and personal freedoms. Away from the Capitol, she enjoys gardening, canning, baking, hiking, crabbing, clamming, hunting, and time outdoors with her family. Her love of canning and baking led her to start Copperpott Farm, a small business rooted in the same hands-on values she brings to public service. She is a strong supporter of state and local police, veterans' groups, small businesses, and nonprofit organizations, and has served on the Berlin Town Council since 2019.
